A Symbol, Renewed
I was simply headed into the Kalama Harbor Lodge to sit down over a pastry and a mug of hot black coffee. It was that sort of morning. Tablet in hand, I pondered what sort of work I would accomplish as I started across the parking lot. A massive crane and semi-truck were stationed in the southern corner. Huh. After making a detour back to my truck, I hastily made my way over to the caution tape, camera in hand.
Introductions aren’t always this easy. I spent the next 30 minutes trying to avoid liability and injury, while also capturing what I felt were the best angles. Afterwards, my camera and willingness to help were the only license needed to start up a conversation with Mariah Stoll-Smith Reese, Executive Director of the Lelooska Foundation.
I won’t try to do the Lelooska Foundation justice here through my words, you’ll have to check them out yourself.
